We know that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to every child’s success. To support this, we are committed to providing parents with both a comprehensive overview of our curriculum and clear information on how we report attainment, progress and achievement.
🗣️ Parent-Teacher Consultations take place on 🗓️Tue 8th & Wed 9th October and each parent will receive a comprehensive set of notes detailing how their child has settled into their new Year Group. This is also an opportunity to share targets and areas for development during the face-to-face meeting.
✅ How do we measure attainment, progress and achievement?

Weekly Spotlight 🔦
This week, I would like to highlight the work of a Ms. Eula, Ms. Naty, Ms. Hope and Ms. Stephanie, our specialist teachers and learning support assistants. Specialist staff play a critical role in ensuring that every student at ISB has the opportunity to excel, regardless of their individual learning needs.
Ms. Eula, our English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher, provides tailored support to students who face language barriers, allowing them to fully access the curriculum and integrate into school life with confidence. Her work ensures that language is never a barrier to success, helping students not only learn English but thrive in all areas of study.
Ms. Stephanie’s expertise in reading and phonics interventions is instrumental in building foundational literacy skills. By providing targeted support to students who need extra help, she ensures that no child falls behind in their ability to read and comprehend, which is vital to their overall academic success.
Ms. Hope, our specialist in speech and language interventions, offers essential support for students facing communication challenges. Her work enables these students to develop strong speaking and listening skills, which are crucial for their participation in class, social interactions, and overall confidence.
Ms. Naty, who specialises in sensory interventions, provides invaluable assistance to students who require sensory support to better engage in their learning environment. By creating individualised sensory plans, she helps students regulate and focus, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for all.
Together, these specialist staff members enrich our inclusive school environment by ensuring that every student receives the personalised support they need to thrive, adding immeasurable value to the school community as a whole. Their expertise allows us to celebrate diversity in learning and ensure success for every child. 👏

International Day 🌏
Bringing different communities together to celebrate our annual International Day is so important in further promoting cultural understanding. It builds a sense of belonging, reinforcing that every culture and tradition has value within our school community. By celebrating different customs, foods, languages, and traditions, we encourage empathy and broaden the perspectives of everyone involved. We encourage curiosity and respect for global diversity, which aligns with our educational goals to nurture open-minded, culturally aware individuals. We look forward to welcoming all families to our inclusive and enriched school environment on Friday 27th September. Full details in the link below. 🔗 👇
